Two bodies were located after a boat capsized in Lake Barkley in Stewart County Tuesday morning.
Spokeswoman Paulette Redman with the Stewart County Sheriff’s Department says deputies located the bodies when they responded to a capsized boat in the Cumberland City Steam Plant area around 3:30 a.m.
She indicates the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency is now handling the investigation and will release the identities of the deceased.
Stewart County Fire and Rescue and the Cumberland City chief of police also assisted at the scene.
