On May 20, the family of fallen Calloway County Deputy Chief Jody Wayne Cash grieved with hundreds upon hundreds in a lengthy visitation held at Hardin Baptist Church.
Among those in attendance, quietly, was Governor Andy Beshear — who came to pay his respects to the Cash family.
During Wednesday’s celebration of Hollobus Technologies and its arrival to Murray and Calloway County, Beshear asked for a moment of silence and prayer in reverence to Cash, and shared some brief thoughts on the tragedy.
Cash died at the Marshall County Hospital on May 16, after an altercation at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center in Benton.
