A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has planned milling and paving along a section of the KY 139/South Road in Cadiz, set to begin Tuesday, May 31.
The project, which should take about a week to complete, will run from the Sawmill Lane intersection at the 14.9 mile marker and extend northward, crossing the US 68 R-Cut intersection to US 68 Business/Main Street at mile marker 16.7. It’s a distance of 1.79 miles.
Paving should begin June 1.
KYTC officials note that motorists should be alert for one-lane traffic, with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work. Weather could also delay the project’s completion status.
Rogers Group, Inc., is the prime contractor on this improvement.
