Crofton’s Gordon Park a Grant Recipient for Lighting Upgrades

Gordon Park in Crofton will receive money from a Land and Water Conservation Fund grant for the upgrading of lights.

$50,000 in grant money will be used to remove and replace the lighting and poles around the ballfields.

Mayor Daniel Lacy thanked the work of the Pennyrile Area Development District for its help in securing the money.

Lacy said work on the project would begin once the plans are finalized and approved by the City.

The announcement was part of a ceremonial check presentation made by Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman who was in Hopkinsville Monday.

Coleman said investing in local infrastructure projects is vital for the state in moving forward and providing a better quality of life.

Coleman also handed out checks for improvement projects at Ruff Park and Pardue Lane Park.
