Barkley Lake Water District has issued a Boil Water Advisory for Blue Springs Estates off of Blue Springs Road in the Canton area.
General Manager John Herring tells the News Edge the advisory was issued due to a 4-inch main break going into the subdivision. He says the boil water advisory affects about 100 customers.
The boil water advisory is in effect until further notice. Affected customers should heat the water until bubbles come from the bottom of the pot to the top. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, let it boil for 1 minute, and then let it cool before consumption.
