A man was flown to a Nashville hospital after he was struck by a vehicle on US 68 in Trigg County Thursday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say a man and woman were walking on US 68 at Old Dover Road after getting a flat tire and the male walked out in front of a westbound van.
The man was taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital and then flown to a Nashville hospital with severe injuries.
Deputies say they are continuing to investigate but it is clear that the man entered the travel portion of the roadway.
The driver of the van was not injured in the crash. The crash was reported to authorities just before 9 p.m.
