Hopkinsville Man Charged With Trafficking Drugs

A traffic stop on Madisonville Road in Christian County led to drug charges for a Hopkinsville man Thursday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle and could see drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle in plain view.

During the stop, Deputy Sam Suiter reportedly used his K9 Zico to inspect the vehicle and located two cellophane bags that contained suspected marijuana and approximately 10 Oxycodone pills on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Deputies say the passenger 35-year-old Stacey Dillard Jr. admitted to having an ounce of meth on him. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana along with trafficking meth and opiates.
