The Barkley Lake Water District has issued a boil water advisory for approximately 30 homes in the Montgomery area of Trigg County.
Barkley Later Water Superintendent John Herring says the advisory impacts customers in Montgomery area. The advisory includes customers from Montgomery south from the intersection of old Hopkinsville road to 314 south Montgomery. The advisory includes Deer Track Estates.
Herring says the advisory was issued after a valve between the Cadiz Water Department lines and the Barkley Water lines blew apart. Barkley Water crews had to rebuild the valve Tuesday afternoon to restore service.
This boil will be in effect till Thursday morning at a minimum.
