Contractors for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have removed a work zone lane restriction for the Labor Day holiday driving period — along westbound traffic on I-24, near the 60-mile marker in Trigg County.
This work zone is expected to return Tuesday, September 6.
It exists to allow bearing work and concrete repairs on the Muddy Fork Creek Bridge.
Following its Tuesday return, all westbound traffic will be moved to the right-hand driving lane for work.
This specific effort has an interactive warning system, which will alert approaching motorists of slowed or stopped traffic. The target completion date for this project is September 20.
