Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7890 took time Friday to remember and educate the community on prisoners of war and those missing in action.
Friday, September 16, is known as POW-MIA Day across the country. VFW Post 7890’s Karl Johnson says they were able to set up a special display at FNB Bank Friday to all visitors to see. He adds they spoke to students at Trigg County Middle School about the importance of POW-MIA Day.

POW-MIA Day is commemorated on the third Friday of September each year to remember the thousands of soldiers who were held as Prisoners of War and thousands who were also listed as Missing in Action.
