A Hopkinsville man was found unresponsive after a wreck on Kentucky 1682 at the intersection of North Main Street in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say a car driven by 22-year-old Caleb Sims was eastbound when it hit a truck driven by Allen Jackson in front of Sims that was stopped at the intersection.
Sims was reportedly taken out of the vehicle and given CPR by citizens before an ambulance arrived and revived him by using Narcan.
Police say Sims suffered injuries from the crash but a medical problem is believed to have been a factor in the crash. He was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health.
Police say after further investigation Sims was charged with DUI.
