A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly assaulted a police officer and a nurse in Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Pembroke Road for a welfare check on 30-year-old Brandon Hancock. Police say they found him to appear to be under the influence of some kind of substance and became combative when officers took him into custody. While at the hospital getting checked out, Hancock allegedly kicked an officer and a nurse.
He was arrested and charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication, resisting arrest, and two counts of third-degree assault.
