The National Weather Service is calling for wind chill factors below zero with at least an inch of snow Friday and Saturday.
Paducah Warning Coordination Meteorologist Christine Wielgos said temperatures on Thursday will be near normal until the cold front moves through in the afternoon with some rain.

The last time it snowed on December 23 was 2004 when the area received three inches of snow. In 1912, the city received 10 inches of snow on the 23rd.
