Hayes Reflects on the CC Chamber in 2022, Looks Ahead to 2023

As the Christian County Chamber of Commerce flips the calendar to 2023, its president is hoping that training and partnerships from this year translates well into the chamber’s 135th year.

Chamber president Taylor Hayes said a training seminar held earlier this month benefited over 50 community leaders. The Glenn Shepherd seminars help employers attract good employees in today’s labor market, motivate workers, manage Millennials and Gen Z employees, retention, and managing problem employees.

click to download audioHayes also pointed to the chamber’s membership in the West Kentucky Regional Chamber Alliance which consists of chambers in the 15 western-most counties. Created in 2008, the alliance works to provide a unified voice for local businesses in the region and to serve as a catalyst for regional leadership and action.

click to download audioOn the education front, Hayes said the chamber is hosting a State of the Schools Eye Opener Breakfast next month at the Bruce Convention Center.
