HWEA Declares Water Shortage Warning As System Nears Capacity

The Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority has declared a Water Shortage Warning and is asking water customers to conserve water due to high water demand and report any possible leaks.

HWEA General Manager Derrick Watson says the water treatment system is currently operating at near capacity due to demand, which is much higher than normal for this time of year.
