The deadline is quickly approaching to pay property taxes and renew vehicle licenses that are up for renewal in December.
Christian County Sheriff Tyler DeArmond says the administrative office at the sheriff’s department will be closed for the New Year holiday Friday, December 30, which means Thursday, December 29, is the final day to pay property taxes in person in the office.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says the administrative offices will be closed for the New Year holiday Friday, December 30, and Monday, January 2. The final day to pay property taxes without a penalty in Trigg County is Tuesday, January 3. Property taxes can also be paid by mail with a stamped return envelope without a fee as long as the envelope is postmarked by December 31.
The Todd County Sheriff’s office will accept tax payments without a penalty through the close of business Thursday, December 30. The office will be closed for the New Year holiday Friday, December 30, and Monday, January 2, with payments likely accepted without a penalty Tuesday, January 3, because the office will be closed on December 31.
Property taxes can also be paid by mail with a stamped return envelope without a fee as long as the envelope is postmarked by December 31.
For residents or businesses needing to renew vehicle licenses by December 31, the Christian, Trigg, and Todd County Clerks Offices will be closed Friday, December 30, and Monday, January 2, for the New Year holiday. The deadline to renew vehicle licenses without a penalty will be at the close of business Thursday, January 5.
