Downed Trees Reported From Early Morning Severe Storms

Emergency Management is reporting trees and limbs down as the result of a round of severe weather that moved through western Kentucky Tuesday morning.

Christian County Emergency officials reported trees down blocking a portion of Pyle Lane. There was also a report of a tree down blocking the road near the intersection of Coxmill Road and Woodmont Drive.

In Trigg County Emergency Management Director David Bryant said he had received no reports of trees down in Cadiz and Trigg County. He said one home in north Trigg County had about two inches of water inside it due to heavy rainfall.

Todd County Emergency Manager Daniel Smith tells the news edge a couple of trees were reported down in northeastern Todd County after a severe thunderstorm resulting in a tornado warning passed through that county around 5:00.

There are also some reports of flooding on roadways in the area as the result of the heavy rainfall that is accompanying the storms.
