Following torrential rains Monday, Tuesday and into Wednesday, mild flooding occurred in multiple spots across west Kentucky and in District 1 of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Among the submerged locations included KY 1507/Barefield Road between KY 958/Montgomery Road and KY 128/Wallonia Road.
Officials with KYTC District 1 announced Thursday afternoon that this stretch of road has been opened back to the public.
Other locations now reopened or handling trouble in District 1 include:
Calloway County: KY 783/Crossland Road at the 4.25 mm south of Wiswell, near the Jackson Creek and Middle Fork Clarks River communities
Carlisle County: KY 1628 between the 2 and 4 mm (though, KY 1820 is still CLOSED between 1 and 2 mm)
Fulton County: KY 1907/Swamp Rood Road has “Water Over Road” signs posted between KY 94 and KY 781
Hickman County: KY 123 at the 14 to 16mm at Obion Creek Bridge in the Hailwell community
McCracken County KY 1255/Bonds Road at the 1 to 2mm between KY 994 and KY 450/Oaks Rd
Marshall County: KY 1462/Benton-Birmingham Road remains closed with signs posted at the 1 to 2mm due to
floodwaters at the Clarks River Bridge
