An apartment building on Walnut Street in Hopkinsville was extensively damaged in a fire Sunday night.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Payton Rogers says they were called to the residence at 1721 Walnut Street after a water pipe broke and someone noticed smoke. The fire quickly spread to the attic causing extensive smoke and fire damage to the structure.
Rogers says no one was injured but everyone living in the building will be temporarily displaced.
The structure was a home that had been converted into four apartments.
Firefighters from all four Hopkinsville fire stations were called to help in extinguishing the fire.
