A prom dress giveaway that has occurred the last few years in Trigg County will take place again this year.
Christi Riggs, organizer for Simply be-YOU-tiful KY, tells the News Edge the idea came about while working as a substitute teacher.
Riggs says they have over 500 dresses collected and are ready for any girl who needs one this year.
The 2023 dress giveaway will take place next week.
Riggs says they will need help setting up for the two-day event and extra hands to help put everything away.

When the event started in 2019, Riggs was able to store all of the dresses in her upstairs bonus room until her family moved in last year. Now, the dresses reside in an upstairs loft at Liberty Point Baptist Church in Cadiz.
