An Illinois woman was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 24 in Trigg County Friday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says Amy Pereira was eastbound when her vehicle ran off the road and she overcorrected causing the vehicle to overturn and come to a rest on its top. She was taken by ambulance to Trigg County hospital for back and leg injuries.
Acree says fatigue may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
The crash happened at the 59-mile marker at 1 p.m.
