The Edge Media Group will soon be featured in an upcoming episode of ‘Kentucky Life.’
Show host Chip Polston told Your News Edge he has always wanted to highlight the company.
Polston added his show crew was excited to be in Cadiz all-day Thursday.
It’s not often you’ll find Edge Media Group owner Beth Mann nervous about something, but before Thursday’s taping, there was a sense of nervousness at 19 D.J. Everett Drive in Cadiz.
Everett, the namesake for the rooms added to the WKDZ/WHVO studios in 2019, owned the radio stations from the early 90s until he died in 2015. Mann said the rooms continue to grow.
The KET crew, Polston especially, wanted to take time during the segment to highlight local radio and its impact on each community served.
The focus turned to WPKY, an AM/FM radio station owned by the Edge Media Group in Princeton.
WPKY has been an integral part of the ongoing recovery in the Princeton and Caldwell County community following the EF-4 tornado that devastated the region in December 2021, claiming 58 lives and injuring over 500.
The segment on KET’s ‘Kentucky Life’ will air in May. The show airs every Saturday evening at 7:00 (Central) on KET TV and is live-streamed at KET.org.
