Per the AAA East Central Gas Price Report, western Kentucky pumps saw no change from this week to last in average price per gallon of regular unleaded: stable at $3.10.
As of Tuesday morning and according to GasBuddy.com, in Caldwell County, it’s between $2.99 and $3.19. In Christian County, it’s $2.87 to $3.05. In Crittenden County, it’s $3.02. In Hopkins County, it’s somewhere around $2.95 to $2.99. In Livingston County, it’s $3.02 to $3.19. In Lyon County, it’s $3.02 to $3.21. In Todd County, it’s $3.27. And in Trigg County, it’s from $3.19 to $3.29.
In Bowling Green, it’s $3.11. It’s $3.14 in Elizabethtown, $3.27 in Louisville, $2.97 in Owensboro and $3.03 in Paducah.
A year ago this week, the average price in this region: $3.91.
Despite economic news and the fluctuation of stock and oil markets, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline fell three cents to $3.44. It’s three cents more than a month ago, but 84 cents less than a year ago.
Meanwhile, the global oil price plunged into the low-to-mid $60 per barrel, a level not seen since August 2021. At the close of last Wednesday’s formal trading session, West Texas Intermediate decreased by $3.72 to settle at $67.61.
