Mr. Etherd D. Blake age 78 of Elkton, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11:45 p.m. at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Services will be Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Church of Claymor with Rev. Ron Turner and Rev. John Ford officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Blake family cemetery in Todd County.
Mr. Blake was born in Todd County on March 10, 1945. He was retired from Phelps-Dodge Company and was a retired Rural Mail Carrier in Todd County. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of Claymor. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Blake and Effie Mae Whitman Blake, his brother William C. Blake.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Diane Blake of Elkton, his sons Brent Blake and his wife Carrie of Southlake, Texas, and Kent Blake and his wife Andi of Louisville, his daughter Lisa Moore and her husband Mickey of Lewisburg, his brother Dan Blake of Hopkinsville, and his sisters Rita Casey of Lewisburg, and Ann Wilson of Clifty, his grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Amber, Ethan, Jamison, Amelia and Chapman, his great-grandchildren Zayden and Zayleigh.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Pleasant Hill Church of Claymor or Blake Cemetery c/o Lisa Moore 2160 Todd-Deerlick Road, Lewisburg, KY 42256.
