Students of the Cadiz Baptist Christian Academy learned more about the Trigg County 911 call center Wednesday.

Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree told Your News Edge the students were educated on the importance and use of the local 911 operating system. He added students were able to call the emergency line and talk live with a Trigg County dispatcher.

“I was so proud to see each and every one of these young students learning and understanding how to contact emergency personnel in the event of an emergency,” Acree said.

At the end of the presentation, the children were able to tour sheriff department vehicles and each youngster received a coloring book with information about law enforcement.
