Mr. John David “Johnny” Gilbert, age 52 of Fairview, passed away at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2023, at The Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green. The family has chosen a cremation service with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
Johnny was born December 27, 1970, in Harlan County. He was a carpenter for Greenfield Construction for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Gilbert and Janie Elliott Sisco, and his sister, Stella Gilbert.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Morphew Gilbert of Fairview, his son, Nathan Gilbert and his wife, Jennie of Elkton, his step-son, Aaron Laster and his wife Lauren of Elkton, his brother, Allen Gilbert of Elkton, 4 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandchild.
