One of the first outside tests of the new weapons detection systems went well last week for Christian County Public Schools.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel told Your News Edge they were used during Hopkinsville High School’s prom, which took place Friday.
Bentzel said everything went smoothly during Hopkinsville High School’s prom.
Bentzel added several school districts reached out to ask questions and learn more about the weapons detection systems. The systems will be utilized for other events held off campus, including the graduation ceremonies at the Stadium of Champions.
