Variety trials, the impact of late winter freezes, fungicides, and weed control will be among the topics on the agenda during the annual University of Kentucky Wheat Field Day Tuesday, May 9, at the Research and Education Center in Princeton.
Center Director Dr. Carrie Knott says everyone is welcome to the day that begins at 9:00.
Dr. Knott says there will be plenty of time to explore the variety trials.
She adds there will also be panel discussion and some time to visit with the specialists.
UK’s Dr. Carrie Knot says they will also take a close look at the impact of freeze events.
She adds a number of topics will be discussed.
Dr. Knot says there will be no charge to attend the field day. The day will finish with a sponsored lunch and a time to visit with researchers and fellow farmers.
