Hopkinsville Man Charged With Trafficking Fentanyl

A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking Fentanyl and possession of meth after a traffic stop Friday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a red Chevy Camaro driven by 27-year-old Kaylob Meeks for a registration plate that expired in 2017.

During the stop, he was reportedly found to have a suspended driver’s license and to be in possession of meth along with 196 counterfeit M30 pills suspected to contain Fentanyl and or its derivatives.

He was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of meth, no registration plates, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.

The investigation was handled by the Hopkinsville Police Department crime suppression unit and special investigations unit.
