A vehicle was damaged in an attempted theft on Frank Yost Lane in Hopkinsville Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say someone in a 2000 model Chevy truck attempted to cut off the catalytic converter on a Jeep in a parking lot.
No arrest has been made but the report lists the charge as theft by unlawful taking and first-degree criminal mischief.
