A Hopkinsville woman was charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on Riverfront Drive in Hopkinsville Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 53-year-old Ella Simmons for a turn signal violation and during the stop, officers could see marijuana in the center console.
She reportedly continued to reach toward her right side multiple times while officers were talking with her and after a search of the vehicle, a bag of meth was found in the center console.
While taking her to jail, police say she tried to hide a bag with meth residue on it in the police cruiser and urinated in the vehicle.
She is charged with failure to or improper signal, possession of meth, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of marijuana.
