Original Clarksville LongHorn Steakhouse Employee Retiring July 1

Yvette Mitchell

A familiar face at LongHorn Steakhouse in Clarksville is retiring at the end of the month, after working with the company for over 23 years.

Yvette Mitchell, the Managing Partner of the regional location since 2016, tells Your News Edge she got her start with the company in 1993 as a server in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Clarksville location opened in November 1999, and Mitchell has worked nearly every job possible.

Mitchell says her team has made the job much easier.

When her retirement becomes effective July 1, Mitchell says she will miss two things.

The other thing is the Fort Campbell military community.

Mitchell was a member of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Fort Campbell, working in supply, from 1981 to 1987.

As for the next chapter in her life, Mitchell and her husband look forward to touring the world.

Mitchell thanks all of her regulars over the years. A new Managing Partner has been hired for the Clarksville store and will start the job in the next week or so.
