A wreck on East 9th Street in front of the Dollar General sent three people to the hospital Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say just after 1 pm a truck driven by 40-year-old Jason Willis of Hopkinsville was westbound when it crossed into the eastbound lanes and hit a second truck driven by 61-year-old Todd Turner of Clarksville head-on.
Willis reportedly told police he tried to toss a cigarette out and it came back in the window on him causing him to cross into the other lane of traffic.
Both drivers and a passenger in Willis’s truck 30-year-old Charles McCord of Hopkinsville were treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries.
