A man was charged with drug trafficking after he was found sleeping in his vehicle at a gas station on Hugh Hunter Road in Oak Grove Friday night.
Oak Grove Police say they were called to the gas station to check the welfare of Kwamel Oliver who was found sleeping, he was also disoriented and had slurred speech when he was woken up. During the stop, officers say they could smell the odor of marijuana and asked Oliver for the grinder that was in the center console which had marijuana residue in it.
After a search of the vehicle, police say marijuana, a bottle of unknown pills, and a large amount of cash were found.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (drug unspecified), trafficking marijuana, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).
