A Hopkinsville man was charged with theft by deception after he cashed a stolen check at a Hopkinsville Bank.
Hopkinsville Police say 36-year-old Bishop Howard successfully cashed a stolen check for $250 on Monday then was caught attempting to cash a second stolen check Tuesday morning.
He reportedly claimed he was cashing the checks for a friend. He was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by deception, and attempted theft by deception.
