A Hopkinsville man was charged with assault after a disturbance on North Main Street in Hopkinsville Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say when they arrived they found 53-year-old Jesse Dossett Jr. who was intoxicated on the front porch and found that he had assaulted his disabled son.
Broken glass was reportedly found in the living room and his son had severe lacerations to his head and elbow.
Dossett was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and second-degree assault (domestic violence).
