Deputies have released the name of a Hopkinsville man that was severely injured in a wreck on Antioch Road in Christian County Thursday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a northbound truck driven by 62-year-old Frances Johnson of Hopkinsville stopped to turn into a driveway when an SUV driven by 30-year-old Logan Young that was behind her attempted to pass striking her truck.
Young’s SUV ran off the road hitting an embankment causing the vehicle to overturn before coming to a stop in the middle of the roadway.
Both drivers were treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS with Young being transported to a waiting helicopter that flew him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with a severe head injury.
Johnson was taken to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries. The crash happened just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Cumbee Road.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Christian County Rescue, Highland Fire Department, and Hopkinsville EMS.
