Authorities have released the name of a Clarksville man who was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 24 in Christian County Saturday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a car driven by 24-year-old Tyshawn Banks was exiting the Kentucky Welcome Center at a high rate of speed when it ran off the road, up an embankment, and rolled several times before coming to a stop and catching fire.
Banks was reportedly pulled out of the vehicle by people in the area and was pronounced dead. Banks was identified by the Christian County Coroner’s office after his family was notified
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. Oak Grove and Pembroke Volunteer Fire Departments were called to extinguish the vehicle.
