Al Perry, 76, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 10:21 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at his residence.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father Chris Kight officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Oakland, CA he was born June 15, 1947 the son of the late Eugene and Betty Perry. He was retired Civil Service having specialized in weapons maintenance. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam. Following his service in the United States Army, he spent 17 years in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the VFW and the Lake Tandy Fishing Club. He was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Perry.
Survivors include his wife: Yolonda Seay Perry; his sons: Jim (Sherry) Perry of Hopkinsville, KY, Gene Perry, Kelly Perry of California, and Randy (Karen) Perry of Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter: Chris Pearson; his stepsons: Jose Castillo and Joaquin Madera both of Hopkinsville, KY; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 more great grandchild on the way.
