Albert Blake Irwin, 60, of Hopkinsville, KY died Saturday, October 28, 2023, at his home.
Funeral mass will be Friday, November 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Meredith officiating. The interment will be held at a later date in Virginia. Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Hughart, Beard, & Giles. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Winchester, Virginia, he was born December 11, 1962, the son of the late Henry Calvin Irwin and Dolores Samuels Irwin. He had many jobs during his life, but the one he was most proud of was being a nurse. It was truly his calling and he will be missed in the halls of Jennie Stuart. He was also a huge sports fan and loved his Carolina Panthers, Hopkinsville Hoppers, Chicago Cubs, Nashville Predators, the British Colombia Lions football team, and his James Madison University Dukes.
In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mark Richards.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years: Jane Irwin; his children: Michael Larvejo, Katie Larwa, both of Hopkinsville; Matthew (Lauren) Larwa of Groveland, California; and Nathanael (Anna) Larwa of Winchester, KY. He is also the proud PaPa of Sophia Elizabeth Hayes Larwa and Mary Louise Larwa. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Hank (Sue) Irwin, Russell (Kari) Irwin, Anna Richards, and Liz (Jim) Faison; and his nieces and nephews: Kristen (Dave) Dienpenbrock, Lynsey (J.D.) Holland, Sara Richards, Adam (Kathryn) Richards, Jimmi Faison, Mica Faison, Ian Asinugo, Chris Faison, Nigel Asinugo, Olivia Asinugo, Adam (Christina) Irwin, Candice McGovern, Andrew McFarland, Robert (Joyce) Howe, and Anthony (Emily) Howe; and several grand-nieces and –nephews.
