Billy Wayne Cantrell, 80, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 11:14 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at his residence.
No services will be held. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Corvallis, Oregon he was born July 9, 1943, the son of the late William Cantrell and Louise Collins Cantrell. Billy served his country as a member of both the United States Navy Reserve and the United States Army. He held a bachelor’s degree in drafting and worked as the security manager for Fred Meyer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother.
Survivors include his wife; Becky Cantrell of the home; sons: Gene Cantrell of Yelm, Washington; Dean Cantrell of Tacoma, Washington; daughter: Leandra Cantrell Shaver (Jeff) of Spokane, Washington; brothers:
Gene Cantrell of Wenatchee, Washington; Jeff Cantrell (Sue) of Tacoma, Washington; sisters: Sandy Stewart of Warrington, Missouri; Joyce Kady (Dan) of Tacoma, Washington; step-children: Carole Faith Thaut (Richard) of Spanaway, Washington; Ann Janette Smith (Gene) of Phoenix, Arizona; Michael Allen (Brittany) of Fox Island, Washington.
