Perry Alexander, with the Cadiz Water District, announced the need for a boil water advisory Monday afternoon — one located near the vicinity of Jefferson and Depot streets.
The reason: a new section of water line is being installed in this area.
Alexander said boil water restrictions need to remain in place until further notice, but that it could be up to 36 hours, or more, for the work to be completed and the water accurately tested.
Water should boil at least three minutes before consumption.
