Memorial Services for 47-year old James David "JD" Byron of Clarksville will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville.
Inurnment will follow at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West.

A native of Euclid, Ohio he was born August 16, 1976 the son of the late David Byron and Mary Mayes Shorts. “JD” as he was affectionately known proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He served as an Infantryman and a Marksmanship Instructor. He later worked for the corporate headquarters for the Captain D’s Food Chain.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Brandi Byron of Clarksville, Tennessee; daughters Jadyn Byron of Huntington, West Virginia; Addyson Byron (Kaleb Browning) of Huntington, West Virginia; brothers Macceo (Heidi) Shorts of Columbus, Ohio; William (Brian) Shorts, III of Lorain, Ohio; Michael Green of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters: Joslyn Byron; and Olivia (Robert) Welch of Huntington West Virginia.
