Shirley Reedy Lilly, 85, of Hopkinsville, passed away at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, after an illness. Memorial services will be private. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Lilly was born in Evergreen Park, IL on August 3, 1938; the daughter of the late Michael Joseph and Mary Hansen Reedy. Shirley was retired from the Pennyroyal Center and a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rowe Lilly in 2014; her brother, Lloyd Reedy; and her son-in-law, Leon Spangler.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Ann Smith (Stephen) of North Pole, AK, Darlene Moser (Phil) of Reading, PA, Elizabeth Spangler of Hopkinsville, KY, and Jacqueline Starkey (Sean) of Ellerslie, GA; eight grandchildren, Amber Darling, Justin Smith, Adam Smith, and Robert Smith, April Frey, Matthew Moser, Ashton Spangler, and Elijah Starkey; and nine great-grandchildren, Kaelin Darling, Karleigh Darling, Lucas Smith, Aluna Smith, Jareth Smith, Saragrace Smith, Sirena Smith, Norah Frey, and Grayson Frey.
