Petch Lane Shooting Suspect May Enter Plea

A resolution could occur soon for the Hopkinsville man charged in a shooting last June on Petsch Lane.

Jeffrey Proffitt is charged with first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon after he was accused of shooting a woman in the leg during an argument.

Proffitt’s attorney Jarrod Jackson told Christian County Circuit Judge John Atkins during a Wednesday morning appearance that an offer had been received from the Commonwealth.
