David Petsch, age 46, of Hopkinsville, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, after a year battle with heart disease. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 12, 2024, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The family has entrusted Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Petsch was born on April 26, 1977, in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of Doug and Debbie Petsch of Hopkinsville, KY. David was a business owner and welder at D&D Ornamental Iron and was a member of Kelly Baptist Church. David had a passion for Titans football, UK basketball, riding motorcycles, and grilling while spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deanna Petsch in 2005.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 12 years Lynne Wassmer Petsch of Hopkinsville, KY; his step-children, Moriah VanKooten of Hopkinsville, Parker VanKooten of Hopkinsville, Jessica Herndon of Madisonville; and his seven step-grandchildren.
In place of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to American Heart Association or American Stroke Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
