Schools in Christian County were put on a temporary high alert as law enforcement investigated a concerning message sent Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say someone sent a message to the school system that led them to put the schools on high alert out of precaution.
The high alert was canceled around 1:20 p.m. after Christian County Public School administration was notified by police that after the investigation no credible threat was found.
The school system says they will always put safety as a top priority and thank the community for its cooperation.
