A duplex on Phelps Avenue in Hopkinsville was damaged in a fire Friday night.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says they were called to a duplex for a fire that started with a water heater and caused the structure to fill with smoke.
Everyone was able to get out uninjured but due to the damage power had to be shut off and no one will be able to stay in the structure temporarily.
The building is located at the intersection of Phelps Avenue and West 13th Street.
