Jason Petrie, Chair of the Kentucky House’s Appropriations & Revenue Committee, said they expect to get the full budget back from the Senate this week.
He said once returned – they will have to look at the proposed changes quickly.
Petrie added the biennium budget bill will be one of the last passed this session before Governor Andy Beshear can veto bills beginning Friday, March 29.
The legislature will have April 9th and 12th to override any potential vetos from Governor Beshear before the 2024 session closes.
