A Hopkinsville man was charged with criminal abuse after an investigation into a child who had been abused Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say on Sunday 33-year-old James Pearson was angry at his girlfriend’s child for wetting the bed and struck the 5-year-old child with a belt several times causing injuries to her face, arms, neck, and various places on her back and legs.
He was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal abuse.
